I just want to say a few words about my experience
taking fly tying lessons from Al Ritt. After retiring
and many years of fly fishing I decided to learn how
to make my own flies. A local shop recommended Al
Ritt. I found Al to be a very knowledgeable and patient instructor. Al explains each step and techniques in great detail so even an old guy like me can follow. Classes were to meet my learning pace and Al was willing to answer questions by phone. I would recommend Al Ritt to anyone wishing to take fly tying lessons. Many shops that know Al will tell you he is the BEST.

Thank you for the pictures.
I did return to the Park, and hiked up to the _____ River. It wasn't long before I caught my first Greenback! Gorgeous. With what you taught me regarding the "steeple cast", shortening my line and literally dropping the fly only into one current, I must have landed a dozen, and at least 1/2 dozen more released themselves. It was one of those memorable days which was worth the 1 1/2 mile hike.
